This is corrected as of 8:15am PDT. New email will be received without delay, email sent since 3:15am PDT should automatically retry and be received shortly with no action on your part.
August 30, 2020
Level 3/CenturyLink was responsible for an outage that affected many Internet services, disrupting connectivity until roughly 8am PDT this morning.
CenturyLink reports all services restored by 8:12am PDT. Our monitoring also indicated services were properly accessible again by 8am PDT.
August 13, 2020
6:30am PDT We implemented a fix for outgoing email. Please let us know if any freshly sent emails have any problems!
For prior emails:
1) We will be delivering all the "Delayed Delivery" emails after we are comfortable the fix is solid, should be later today. New emails should get right through, including previously delayed services like Yahoo/AOL.
2) Any prior emails that received "Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender" or similar will need to be re-sent. I will be emailing the accounts that got "Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender" yesterday afternoon/evening from our prior fix, but others may have happened directly from some other servers such as Comcast, or others.
August 12, 2020
6:00am PDT We are delivering some earlier emails from the past few days that were stuck on the mail server, and will continue throughout the day.
Note that in the message lists our webmail shows you the time the message was recevied in your account. When you select and view the message the sent time is shown in the headers at the top of the message, so you'll know if you are seeing older email.
August 11, 2020
11:30pm PDT UPDATE: Personal email accounts have now had their delivery restored, and will start receiving shortly.

10:40am PDT Incoming email is stalled, we are working to restore service. Access to current email, sending and receiving without our mail servers, and sending email externally are all working.
August 10, 2020
8:30pm PDT Outgoing email has all been delivered, except for Yahoo/AOL/Verizon and other domains they server. We should have another solution to that problem on Tuesday.
UPDATE: 7:30pm PDT - The mail09 server is complete, performance is back to normal!
UPDATE: 7pm PDT - We are proceeding completing mail09.
Note regarding "mail09" completion -- everything is in place, so we will expedite completion beginning at 7pm PDT tonight.

9:10am PDT - The network issue has been resolved.
5am PDT - A network issue is preventing access to the mail servers including webmail and Spamblock. We are working to restore access as soon as possible.
August 8, 2020
6pm PDT - Personal email account customers, including usermail.com mauimail.com, and others, thanks to a few customers feedback, we found a configuration error that kept your email from being properly direted to the new servers. That has been corrected, and most email will be retried and sent to you over the next few hours.
4pm PDT - Delayed mail has all been delivered, and most access issues have been resolved. Users on mail09 noted below will still experience slower connections. For webmai, we recommend you temporarily use "Standard (HTML)" webmail, either by selecting from the pop-up menu on the login screen, or by clicking "Switch to the Standard (HTML) version" on the splash screen if you log in Advanced an it gets stuck too long on that page.
We plan to complete the process with mail09 on Sunday evening, August 9, which is also the solution to mail09 performance issues.
7:30am PDT - We are investigating connection issues and time outs to the mail servers.
2:50am PDT - Most email delayed during the maintenance has been delivered. In addition to moving the last server, we will continue to review any remaining issues today, so you may experience timeouts or "network service error."
1:45am PDT - The maintanence has been largely completed, but one server(mail09) could not be moved and will be completed Saturday morning. If you attempt to log in to webmail and after a delay you see a yellow banner saying "An unknown error has occured" your account is most likely on this server.

This morning, some customers saw errors indicating the mail program "can't find the server"
or similar. We made a DNS nameserver update last night that did not make any changes
to the data, but it has caused problems with some smaller regional ISPs DNS resolvers (the
service that gives your progams the address associated with a name).
We expect these errors to resolve themselves in time, as the ISP nameservers update, but in
the meantime you may fix this by updating to use a public DNS resolver. Two popular choices are
Google and Cloudflare. For instructions setting these up, please see their web sites:
- Google DNS
Includes instructions for Windows and Macintosh
- Cloudflare DNS
