    We have scheduled our next mail server upgrade and maintenance on August 31, 2018.

    This maintenance will take place from 10pm PDT Friday night August 31, 2018, to 3am PDT Saturday morning September 1, 2018. We expect only brief interruptions during this window, and will minimize the down time for each individual server.

    Norton Safeweb has updated their listing, showing our sites are safe.

    Norton Safeweb, also used by Google, has improperly classified an alternate URL for our webmail site for phishing. Most likely someone received a phishing email and reported it under one of our alternate webmail URLs. We have followed up with Norton to correct this, but they do not provide a time frame to update the listing.

    In the meantime, you may choose one of these solutions:

    • Bypass the warning in your web browser to visit our site
    • Use a different webmail URL to visit our site, such as
    • Use a mail program to access your email. If you add an IMAP account to a mail program or smart phone, you should not encounter any warnings. See our email configuration instructions

    10am PDT: US East Coast clients are reporting difficulty reaching the mail servers. Comcast has connectivity issues on the East Coast, see online reports. If you are a Comcast customer we recommend checking their outage map for further information.

    11:32pm PDT: Upgrades are complete.

    10:52pm PDT: The main upgrades are complete and mail is accessible again. Continuing maintenance may cause brief interruptions.

    10:00pm PDT: We are beginning the scheduled mail server upgrade. Mail access will be interrupted during our upgrade process.

    UPDATE 1:22pm PDT: The issue is resolved and attachments are uploading properly again. If you are having difficulty connecting please refresh your web connection or log out and back in with your mail program, or quit and relaunch.

    12:20pm PDT We are investigating issues sending attachments from Outlook with the Outlook Connector and from Webmail for accounts on one back-end mail server.

    We found issues during our preparation and final testing so we are deferring this upgrade. We will schedule the upgrade again in the near future.

    This maintenance will take place from 10pm PST Friday night May 25, 2018, to 3am PST Saturday morning May 26, 2018. We expect the servers to be unavailable for less than one hour during this window, and will minimize the down time for each individual server.

    9:36am PST UPDATE: Spamblock -- Depending upon your web browser caching, you may have seen security warnings or different logos on Spamblock since our upgrade last night. These are both fixed, though the logo may not show up correctly until the other one expires from your cache, or the cache is cleared. Please contact or use our contact form if you notice any further issues!

    11:59pm PST UPDATE: The final phase of the upgrade is complete. All services are operating normally with the latest Spamblock software and operating system upgrades.

    11:36pm PST UPDATE: The first phase of the upgrade is complete.

    11:19pm PST We are beginning scheduled maintenance on Spamblock. During this upgrade no new email will be accepted from outside our servers. All email sent between accounts on our servers will be sent without delay. There will be interruptions to access of the Spamblock web site, so you may be interrupted if you try to access quarantined emails or to update rules.

    11:29pm PST We are performing and upgrade on the web01 web server to eliminate performance issues. The server will be unavailable starting now for a few minutes for a brief shutdown and restart.

    We are scheduling an upgrade to the Spamblock system next week, December 26 beginning after 10pm PST. Email within our servers will not be affected, but email into and out of our systems to domains hosted on other servers will be interrupted during the upgrade.

    We will perform brief maintenance on one back-end mail server at 1pm PST to eliminate connection delays. It should only cause a brief interruption, about a minute. Tonight at 9pm PST we will perform similar maintenacne on the other back-end servers.

    We are receiving reports of slow access to email. All reports that we have confirmed are from Comcast internet users. We are aware of network issues with Comcast at this time. This is a wide spread issue and our network operations team is evaluating our options.

    UPDATE: This issue has passed, but here is more information about the breadth and cause of the network disruption.

    Update: Spamblock maintenance completed successfully between 9:42pm and 9:51pm PDT.

    We plan to perform some preventative maintenance on the Spamblock server tonight at 9:30pm PDT.

    August 22, 2017

    Update: The fix is implemented, with under 30 seconds interruption at 10:54pm PDT.

    We have a preventative update to address the cause of the interruption on August 13. We will be appyling this fix tonight after 10:30pm PDT. Only a brief interruption is expected.

    An issue routing incoming email client program connections to the proper back-end mail server kept many customers from accessing the servers between 8:50am and 9:30am PDT. This issue is resolved as of 9:30am PDT.

    UPDATE: Service was restored for a portion of a accounts that were interupted, early Monday morning. Some reoccurred later Monday morning. We are analyzing a performance issue that affected some back-end machines, to implement further corrective actions to avoid such issues in the future.

    We are investigating timeouts accessing email, experienced by some users.

    We are performing preventative maintenance for performance enhancements on the back end mail servers tonight after 10pm PDT. There will be a very brief interruption to your access, less than one minute, to incorporate the changes.

    UPDATE 1:10pm PDT: Service is restored from an network issue that had been affecting 1/3 of the back end servers. We are investigating this networking issue, but all service is restored, and delayed email to the affected back end users is being delivered.

    After a brief network interruption, we are investigating mail server connection problems.

    We are investigating email delivery delays for some domains. We will have email flowing properly again ASAP!

    UPDATE: Email is flowing properly for all domains and any delayed email on our system has been delivered.

    12:28am PDT Completed maintenance. There is no upgrade at this time for the Outlook Connector, the currently used version 8.7.1 is the latest. If you are running an older version you may get the latest Outlook Connector on our web site.

    10:03pm PDT Beginning scheduled maintenance on mail servers. We expect the mail servers to be unavailable for one to two hours during this window, and will minimize the down time for each individual server.

    If you use Professional Collaboration accounts with the Outlook Connector, you will be prompted to upgrade. If you don't believe you have admin privileges for your computer, or are otherwise concerned, it is fine to select skip and we can assist you with the connector upgrade at your convenience.

    5:30am PDT We have completed upgrading the web01 web server to PHP 5.6 and MariaDB 10.0.

    MARIADB: We performed some updates of old (MySQL 4.1) passwords and repaired some databases that were flagged during the upgrade (we are contacting the customers affected, but all should be operating properly).

    PHP: In addition to this default PHP version 5.6, you may now select version 5.4, 5.5, 7.0 or 7.1. If you wish to change from the default version 5.6, please log in to cPanel and select the MultiPHP Manager icon, or contact or use our contact form for assistance.

    Servers were inaccessible for a short time this afternoon, ending at 1:43pm PST. The cause was a network interface and DNS resolution problem which we are investigating to determine any further corrective action.

    We have renewed the certificate for the main mail server connections. If you see SSL connection errors, please refresh your connection and you'll get the latest certificate.

    Domains using the domain registration provider DNS have been suffering from a DDoS attack. They are actively working to mitigate the attack and restore DNS service. You may experience delayed emails (especially outgoing), and may find visitors from some parts of the internet unable to reach your web site or send you email.

    UPDATE Feb 5, 9:30am PST The registration provider DNS is working again. Any emails held for domain verification, such as outgoing emails, have been sent.

    10:32pm PST The upgrades are complete! If you were logged in to webmail during the upgrade, you'll need to refresh your browser (or log out and back in) to get the fix. You can verify you have the latest version by clicking the small triangle at the top right and selecting "About." The new version is Zimbra 8.7.1_GA_1671 (the old one was 1670).

    10:12pm PST We are beginning the upgrades. You'll see about 1/2 minute interruption.

    We've received a software patch to address a bug in webmail where the message list is not updated when messages are moved or deleted under certain conditions. We expect only a brief interruption, and you'll need to reload webmail to get the fix.

    The upgrade is scheduled between 10pm and 11pm PST tomorrow night, Friday January 27.

    1:40pm PST An additional fix has been implemented, and antivirus is working properly again. The queued mail is being processed and delivered.

    1:04pm PST We are still seeing some delays and are working on it, along with the server software developer.

    12:48pm PST A fix from the server software developer is in place and we are monitoring performance.

    11:30am PST A malformed antivirus data file update caused scanning delays that is delaying inbound and outbound email (to or from domains outside the server). A fix is identified and is being put in place.

    1:43am PST We have successfully completed the upgrade. If you have trouble connecting in webmail, please try logging out and back in, or quit your browser and reconnect.

    10:04pm PST We are beginning the scheduled mail server upgrade. Servers will be unreachable, shortly.

    The mail server upgrade is scheduled to be completed on December 30. This adds new features including two-factor authentication, which we will roll out following the upgrade.

    This maintenance will take place from 10pm PST Friday night December 30, 2016, to 3am PST Saturday morning December 31, 2016. We expect the servers to be unavailable for less than one hour during this window, and will minimize the down time for each individual server.

    Some users were not receiving Spamblock Notification emails since the upgrade. This has been fixed, and the missing notifications are being delivered. Note that the new default setting only includes new messages since the last notification. If you prefer to see all "pending" messages in every notification, or if you wish to change the maximum number (40 by default) please log in to Spamblock and click Preferences -> Notifications to review these settings.

    Update 4:05am PDT Some domains needed a configuration update, but all are working now and any queued email on our mail servers has been delivered.

    Update 2:30am PDT We have completed the upgrade, so you should have access to the Spamblock site and new mail is flowing through.

    We are beginning the scheduled Spamblock upgrade. We will be upgrading to the latest version of our Spamblock software, as well as performing preventative maintenance. This upgrade includes a variety of improvements and bug fixes. During the actual Spamblock server upgrade, you will not be able to log in to the Spamblock server to review trapped email or rules, and incoming mail will be delayed. This upgrade will not interfere with your access to your email account and existing stored email.
